My first read in 2010 was also my first GLBT Challenge read: a wonderful YA short story collection How Beautiful the Ordinary. My review is here: http://abookblogofonesown.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-beautiful-ordinary.html

Greetings,

Linking to my post about Annie Proulx's Brokeback Mountain. I hadn't even realized it was a short story before a movie, but I'm so glad I read it. Now I need to rewatch the movie.

Posted my first review today as well, of Eric Goodman's Child of My Right Hand. A fantastic book with amazing characters.

This is already a total blast. I read The Bermudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson, about three best friends who are separated when two of the girls in the group start dating. (My link is above.)

I'm planning on reading Tipping the Velvet next. I hope it's a lot like the style of The Awakening; I'm afraid it's going to be blah because it's so old. But I've heard a lot of good things about it. Has anyone else read it?

Finished reading May Sarton's journal: The House by the Sea. She's such a wonderful writer. I thoroughly enjoy her fiction and her journals. A good one for this challenge is The Education of Harriet Hatfield.

Could you please remove the Madicken review for me. Mr. Linky and I are not on speaking terms today.

I often feel that way. :) I've removed it, Zee.
