Reading challenge update: Most active contributers

When we started the reading challenge at the beginning of the year, everyone was very eager to take part and most of you were pretty ambitious about the number of LGBT related books you were going to read.

We all know that what we plan to do does not always correspond with what we actually get done. Usually we think we will be reading much more than we actually do, although when sometimes the opposite happens it's a really nice surprise.

Are you curious who has been reading and writing about the most LGBT themed books? Or want to know how well you're doing compared to others? I sat down and counted everyone's reviews from January until August and made a little list for you guys.

Here are the 8 people (there were too many people with 5 reviews) who've been the most active contributors to the challenge to date:

08. Sally from Bibrary book lust with 6 reviews
07. Buried in print also with 6 reviews
06. Jodie from Bookgazing with 7 reviews
05. Caroline at Portrait of a woman also with 7 reviews
04. The reading life with 8 reviews
03. Trisha from electric-eccentric also with 8 reviews
02. Amanda from the Zen leaf with 10 reviews
01. Memory at Stella Matutina with a whooping 15 reviews!

Well done guys!
If you did not make it into the top 10, but would like to be there...you still have 4 months to catch up!

What do you think of the top 10? How are you enjoying the reading challenge and does the amount of LGBT reading you do compare to the goal you set yourself at the beginning of the year? Let us know in the comments!

Wow, I'm surprised I'm at the top! I know I've forgotten to post a few in recent months. I'll have to get back into the swing of things now. :)

Ohhh, I have failed so miserably reading LGBT books- I set a target of 15, and I've read 3 this year... *sigh*- I'm hoping to get to at least 10 by the end of the year- 'Yeah, right!' I hear you cry... hehe

I have begun a long term project of posting on all 25 alternative travel guides (from 1910 up to 1968) written by Ruffington (Ruffy) Boussweau-I began with his very famous Ruffy's Manly Mediterranean: Any Port in a Storm.

The Manly Mediterranean

I invite your comments and suggestions and would love to hear from other readers of Ruffy's guides-

Well done top 10! It's great seeing so many who are actively participating in reading LGBT & now I get more inspiration :)

I've aimed for one in this challenge because I've got several other ones going as well, but so far I've read my one and am currently working through another one. If all goes well I'll make it to three this year!

I did try to submit my review for the one I read, but I couldn't find the review page for it. Either I'm looking in the wrong place or it's not standard review submission? I'll be adding it when I get it together.

I've actually posted 11 reviews but I keep forgetting to link them here...they are linked on my site under challenges...I just added links for my July, August and Sept GLBT reviews.

Bookishardour, every month there's a new post where you can add your review. You can find the current one by scrolling through the posts, or even easier, by clicking the link on the upper right corner of the blog where it says "post your reviews here" ;-)

Heidi, I know there's more people who are pretty active with this challenge, but forget to post their links. Unfortunately, I can't keep track of everyone's blogs, so I'm glad you've posted the ones I missed :D

Thanks for the encouragement: I really enjoy seeing what others are reading and how readers are managing their TBR stacks. I'm trying to emphasize authors who are new-to-me for the rest of this challenge's reading year. So many to choose from!
