The October mini-challenge here at the Challenge That Dare Not Speak Its Name challenges you to read a classic. Many of the classics were written by GLBT authors, or suspected GLBT authors, and any of these would be great for the challenge. There are also some classics with GLBT themes. We would love to see links to the classic you pick in the Mr. Linky below.
If anyone would like to volunteer to do a guest post on GLBT-related classics, please contact us - our emails are in the sidebar!

This is a good idea for a mini challenge I think, especially as I can take part in this one.
Would Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu be appropriate?
Carmilla would be a perfect read! I've not read it myself, but my husband has and says it definitely is. :)
Excellent because I just ordered it! Any excuse to buy another book...
I have posted on a few short stories in October by Katherine Mansfield-classic short stories of the 1910s and 1920s-I will post a link to my reviews of her work-for sure she is a GLBT writer-
